Houston ISD is thanking Jim Adler & Associates for partnering with the district to offer four high school students the opportunity to be part of the law firm’s paid internship program.
Specifically, the law firm targeted aspiring attorneys with an exceptional academic and moral record.
“This is a tremendous opportunity for our students,” said Dana Sturdevant, Manager of Career and Technical Education for HISD. “The partnership with Jim Adler & Associates will have a significant and measurable impact on the lives of HISD students.”
After input from Lee High School teachers and interviews conducted by Bill Adler, Guadalupe Bonola and Kymyatta Gabriel were chosen for June internships, and Monica Perez and Maria Cervantes were chosen for July internships. Under Bill Adler’s guidance, interns expanded their law knowledge by receiving hands-on experience. During their time with the law firm, interns interacted with attorneys and case managers.
Jim Adler & Associates plans to work with HISD next summer to offer more students the opportunity to intern with the law firm.
