Lorin R. George Print E-mail
Lorin R. George Lorin R. George is a trial attorney for Jim S. Adler & Associates in the Channelview Office. Lorin was born and raised in Houma, La. He attended Centenary College (BA 1983) in Shreveport, La. on a basketball scholarship. There, he worked hard and excelled as both a student and as an athlete. He received an academic scholarship to attend Southern University Law Center (JD 1987) in Baton Rouge, La. He eventually became a member of the Southern University Law Review and was elected as Vice-President of the Student Bar Association. Upon graduation from law school, Lorin began a one-year judicial clerkship for the Honorable Alfred Mansour (retired) in Alexandria, La. There, he learned what constituted a good trial lawyer from a judge's perspective. From that experience he began his career in litigation -- first as an Assistant Regional Counsel for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in Dallas. There he was responsible for handling federal litigation in a six-state region. Later Lorin worked as an associate for a medical malpractice defense firm in Houston, representing various physicians, nurses and hospitals.

Mitchell L. Ginsburg Print E-mail
Mitchell L. Ginsburg Mitchell "Mitch" Ginsburg is managing attorney of the San Antonio office of Jim S. Adler & Associates. He considers himself a modern-day Robin Hood, using the courts to help those needing legal assistance to seek justice from a system that is unfairly skewed in favor of big insurance companies.

As a child, Mitch dreamed of becoming an attorney. He worked his way through undergraduate school as a fry cook, pizza delivery man, waiter, bartender, taco salesman, drilling mud technician, tutor, warehouse worker and truck driver. His efforts paid off as he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1988.

In 1991, Mitch enrolled in the South Texas College of Law in Houston, where he became a valued member of the South Texas Law Review. Mitch also attended the Institute on World Legal Problems in Innsbruck, Austria, where he received instruction from U.S. Supreme Court Justice, Antonin Scalia. After multiple semesters on the Dean's List, Mitch earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law, graduating with cum laude honors.

Michael Gomez Print E-mail
Michael Gomez Michael Gomez is a trial lawyer for Jim S. Adler & Associates in Channelview, Texas. Michael, who is fluent in Spanish, received his B.A. in Political Science and B.S. in Criminal Justice from Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, Texas. He received his J.D. from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Mich. Since receiving his J.D. in 2001, Michael has practiced law on both sides of the dockets. He began his legal career handling all aspects of personal injury cases which focused on catastrophic injuries and product liability litigation. Michael also has focused his practice on the defense of medical malpractice and nursing home cases, premises liability and construction defect cases. Michael continues to handle plaintiff-personal injuries cases currently focusing his practice on automobile and trucking accidents, premises liability and wrongful death cases.

Michael is licensed to practice law in the State of Texas. He is a member of the Houston Bar Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association. In addition to his work with the firm, Michael is an adjunct professor at the University of Houston-Downtown.

Jeremy Lynds

Jeremy Lynds heads the mass torts division of Jim S. Adler & Associates. A native Houstonian and lifelong Texan, he is a graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, where he earned his B.B.A. in Business Analysis/Management Information Systems in 1997.  As a Systems Analyst for Shell Information Technology International, Jeremy became an expert in Microsoft Access, as well as a myriad of other Microsoft applications, pursuant to his work on several crucial projects for the internationally known oil giant. In 2000, Jeremy graduated from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, earning his M.B.A. in International Business.

 

His lifelong dream of being a lawyer became a reality when he graduated in 2005 from South Texas College of Law in Houston and began his career litigating personal injury, insurance subrogation and asbestos claims.

Cynthia M. Melton Print E-mail
Cynthia M. Melton Cynthia Melton is a motivated and driven professional attorney who excels in management and customer service. She is the supervising attorney for the pre-litigation department of Jim S. Adler & Associates in the Dallas office. She was admitted into practice for Texas in 1995. She attended The University of Denver College of Law and received her JD in 1995, having graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts and Spanish from Texas Tech University in 1992.

While attending the University of Denver, Mrs. Melton interned at the Public Defenders Office, then moved to Dallas. After graduating, she began working with a small law firm that handled family law, workers compensation and personal injury cases.

Mrs. Melton joined Jim S. Adler & Associates in 1996 and has been the supervisor of the pre-litigation department since then. Mrs. Melton is passionate about assisting co-workers in pursuing insurance claims on behalf of those injured. Helping clients recover a fair settlement and lessening the impact of strenuous legal issues on individuals or families are just two goals that Mrs. Melton has in mind when she reviews a case.

Langdon "Trey" Smith Print E-mail
Langdon “Trey” Smith is the senior trial attorney for Jim S. Adler & Associates in Dallas. Born in South Texas, Trey graduated for the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Economics and graduated cum laude from South Texas College of Law in 1996.  While in law school Trey received many awards for academic excellence and achievement and was named to the Dean’s List several times.  He was assistant managing editor of the South Texas Law Review.

Trey’s practice has been devoted to helping victims of the negligence of others.  His first personal injury jury trial occurred while he was still in law school practicing under a third year bar card. Since that time, Trey has tried many personal injury jury trials throughout Texas.  He has handled many types of cases including aviation negligence, oil field accidents, product defects, general liability, premises liability, insurance disputes and many types of vehicular collisions.

Trey is licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, Western District of Texas and all courts of the State of Texas.

Theresa C. Snodgrass Theresa C. Snodgrass has been a personal injury trial attorney since 1995. She joined the Jim S. Adler & Associates family in 2004 and currently works in the pre-litigation department. Theresa's impressive law school career culminated with her graduating in the top 25% of her class from South Texas College of Law in 1995. Along the way, she earned many scholastic honors, including The Order of the Lytae, and inclusion on the Dean's List for six consecutive semesters.

Theresa was admitted to the Texas Bar in 1995 and to the U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas, in 1996. Her practice areas have included both the prosecution and defense of cases involving civil litigation, personal injury, commercial litigation, products liability, insurance defense and employer liability. During the first four years of her practice, Theresa championed the cause of injured parties in the prosecution of their claims against negligent individuals, organizations and insurance companies. For the next five years of her practice, Theresa primarily defended allegedly negligent individuals, organizations and insurance companies. Richard A. Stucky Richard Stucky is a trial lawyer in the Houston office of Jim S. Adler & Associates.  He was born and raised in the Houston area.  He graduated from Abilene Christian University (BBA) in 1995 and returned to Houston, where he studied and received various financial licenses and certifications. He launched his professional career in the financial services industry by helping people achieve their financial goals.

Richard then attended South Texas College of Law.  After graduation in 2002 he began his legal career as an attorney successfully fighting for the rights of those who had been injured on the job.  Richard has proudly helped hundreds of injured workers receive workers’ compensation benefits that were wrongfully denied by insurance companies.  

Richard joined Jim S. Adler & Associates in 2007 to focus his talents on representing those who have been injured by the negligence of others.

Richard is licensed in all courts of the State of Texas.  He is a member of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.  

 
P. Andrew Wilbur Jr. Print E-mail
P Andrew Wilbur, Jr. Paul Andrew (Andy) Wilbur Jr. received his JD from South Texas College of Law in May of 1995. Andy distinguished himself through memberships on the South Texas Law Review, The Order of The Lytae and The Deans List. After successfully taking the Bar Exam early and gaining admittance to the State Bar of Texas, he joined the Jim S. Adler & Associates  law firm. Andy has worked at the firm since 1995 and has resolved thousands of cases to the satisfaction of the firm's injured clients and their families.

In 1984 Andy received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in Finance and immediately began work at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in Dallas as a multi-lines claims adjuster. Andy worked in Liberty Mutual's Dallas, Houston and Las Vegas offices until 1992, when he entered law school in Houston. Throughout his adjusting career, Andy gained valuable experience in how claims departments operate. With this knowledge, Andy is able to minimize the frustration of injured victims and maximize recovery for clients and their families.
