Dear Board Members,
Please allow this letter to serve as a warm welcome to our newest members.
There are many interesting and varied topics to explore. Please take a few moments to surf your way around our site to familiarize yourself with our features.
Your comments and feedback are encouraged. We value your opinions. Your thoughts will help us to continue improving our services to you. It is our goal to constantly update our site and to be informative as well as user friendly. As a result of your comments and suggestions, other functional improvements will be continually added. We have a special area for your comments and suggestions and I encourage you to use them.
There are a few guidelines which we have put into place to ensure the integrity and quality of our free service to you. By following these simple Rules of Conduct, we can build on the knowledge we gain from one another and further allow for expansion of our services to you.
1. Please refrain from the use of any foul language, vulgarity, gestures or graphics which portray this type of activity and or conduct which is not appropriate for a law firm bulletin board forum.
2. Do not ridicule, harass, intimidate, threaten, bad mouth or incite turmoil to any member or guest on this forum.
3. Please be respectful of each other.
4. Continued posts which sole purpose are designed to fester continued conflict are not permitted since conflict is not healthy for anyone - I should say most people - some people thrive on it. This board will not.
5. If you engage in conduct in violation of the Rules of Conduct, appropriate action will be immediately taken without notice or warning. We have installed a feature for you to alert us to conduct/posts/activity that is in violation of these rules or their spirit. Violations of the Rules of Conducts will not be tolerated. We installed this feature so we can learn of violations the moment they occur. We do not and will not condone such behavior.
6. Our forum is not to be construed as a competition with other forums. We are unique in our own right. Please refrain from mentioning the names of other law firms and/or other law firm websites. It is neither fair to us or to them. We will remove such postings, without notice.
7. Jim Adler and Associates will continue to make this forum available to all who respect its main purpose and goals into the indefinite future. This will be at no-cost to our clients and the many guests who have now become members of this forum.
8. The focus of this board will be to promote meaningful discussions and dissemination of useful information on the relevant issues. Disagreements are fine but to abuse for abuse’s sake will not and cannot be tolerated. Not everyone will agree all the time. In order to properly express your difference of opinions, please use courteous debating techniques. Your point will come across more clearly and in a much more acceptable manner. Remember, you attract more bees with honey than you do with salt.
9. I welcome your suggestions and thoughts to make this place a “better place”.
