Jim S. Adler

Jim Adler, known as THE HAMMER, is the founder of Jim S. Adler & Associates, a law firm with 12 attorneys and a professional legal support staff of more than 150. Mr. Adler practices law with full-service law offices in Houston, Dallas, Channelview and San Antonio.
Mr. Adler has experience in automobile accidents, trucking accidents, offshore accidents, refinery accidents, construction injuries, burn injuries, brain injury cases, on-the-job accidents, slip-and-fall cases, railroad accidents, electrical accidents and all areas of personal injury practice.
Mr. Adler attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned his undergraduate degree, and the University of Texas Law School, where he earned his law degree as a Doctor of Jurisprudence.
Mr. Adler has been a TV and radio personality serving the public as the voice of victims of personal injury accidents for more than 30 years. Mr. Adler has appeared on various televison programs, radio programs, civic group panels, radio talk shows, and newspaper interviews speaking of accidents and the rights of personal injury victims. Mr. Adler has devoted his professional life to representing seriously or catastrophically injured citizens in Texas and other states.
Mr. Adler began his military career in the United States Army and later joined the United States Navy where he served as a Naval Officer in a reserve capacity. Mr. Adler was later appointed to be a judge for the Office of Civilian Health and Medical Programs United Services (Ochampus) adjudicating health and medical disputes for Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine personnel. Mr. Adler received a United States Navy Officer's Commission as a Lieutenant Junior Grade in the Judge Advocate General's Corps from the President of the United States of America.
Mr. Adler has spoken before various State Bar and professional organizations regarding automobile collision, insurance, personal injury, general negligence, law firm management and other topics of interests to other lawyers.
Mr. Adler has served as a director of The Texas Trial Lawyers Association, director of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, and member of The Houston Bar Association, Texas Bar Foundation, Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, Dallas Bar Association, American Bar Association and The American Trial Lawyers Association. In addition, Mr. Adler has served on the State Bar of Texas Special Issues Panel and State Bar of Texas Grievance Committee.
Mr. Adler was admitted to practice law by the Supreme Court of the State of Texas and is licensed to practice in the United States Courts of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas, U. S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, U. S. District Court for the Northern and Western District of Texas, United States Court of Appeals.
Mr. Adler is active in local, state and national politics. In 2009, Houston Mayor Bill White appointed Jim Adler to the Board of Directors of The Joint City/County Commission on Children. This was in recognition of his lifelong devotion to causes that benefit children and enabled the commission to receive a Jim Adler review of various children's issues.

Mr. Adler has represented clients in court at trial on cases involving automobile accidents, products liability, workers compensation, Jones Act, third party liability, stock fraud, trucking accidents and other cases.
