Motorcycle rider wins $1.3 million

Titan Phoenix ZRM

The rider in this case had a motorcycle that was subject to a national recall he didn’t know about. The New York man won his lawsuit against the motorcycle company seven years ago but the verdict was overturned. This October, a second jury ruled in his favor although he admitted he was speeding at the time of the accident. The rider lost control of his Titan Phoenix ZRM motorcycle on a curve on August 19, 2000. A month after the accident, he learned of the recall. Evidence in the case showed that the wheel was not properly connected to the fork.
