NEWS FLASH: – Billions on tap for Vioxx victims

On Nov. 9, 2007, drug giant Merck & Co. said it will pay $4.85 billion to Vioxx victims if 85% of all plaintiffs in 26,600 lawsuits agree to drop their cases. The agreement covers all cases in both federal and state courts. News sources say the company will pay all claimants once claims are validated. The settlement is believed to be the largest drug settlement ever.
