Author ArchiveFree legal advice: Stay off Facebook
Here’s what lawyers fear: A client is in a bad car wreck. The client is still in a cast and can’t work. The client puts a quick post on Facebook to let friends know that he’s feeling better than he expected just three weeks after the accident. Now the insurance company is reducing the amount it will pay the client for his accident. The Facebook post undercut his claim. Author ArchiveToyota’s Troubles: Now it’s a Tundra recall
Toyota Motor Sales USA estimates that 0.5 percent of its 2011 Tundras have the defect. The company is recalling 51,000 models. Owners can expect a recall letter in the mail in the next several weeks. In the last year, the company has had to recall 14 million Toyotas to fix defects. Some were deadly. Faulty floor mats and sticky gas pedals are blamed for fatal accidents caused by cars that accelerated suddenly, reaching high rates of speed as they careened off the road with disastrous results. Another Toyota recall involved a glitch in braking software. Toyota is facing dozens of lawsuits in the United States filed on behalf of victims who were injured or killed in its vehicles. |

If you are driving on rural roads, or some far-flung suburban street near a large city or town, consider this: A white tail buck can stand four feet tall and weigh up to 300 pounds. They can run 36 miles an hour and jump eight feet into the air.
Ask a lawyer about Facebook and you’ll probably get this reply: “Post a new comment about your accident and you’ll cause a legal nightmare.”
Sales of generic drugs could take an abrupt nose dive when frightened consumers start insisting on name brand pills when they get prescriptions filled.
Attention owners of Toyota 2011 Tundras: Some of the trucks have a potentially dangerous glitch. These 2011 Tundras have a rear drive shaft that can break .
