‘American Idol’ singer Casey Abrams has ulcerative colitis, which often is due to defective drug Accutane
Why? Because Abrams, a promising 20-year-old singer from Wilmette, IL, suffers the lifelong, incurable and debilitating disease called ulcerative colitis. Known as an IBD or inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis cannot be cured but can only be treated. That’s why Abrams was in the hospital when he should have been on the TV series of his dreams. Then again, far too many Americans also suffer ulcerative colitis or UC when they should have been free from the horrific condition. Why? In their case, it’s because they took the acne medicine Accutane, a now-discredited and defective drug which was pulled from the market in 2009 but can affect people for years after they consumed it. A link between acne drug Accutane and incurable bowel disease? Clearly
Clearly, the two go together. Accutane has been shown to cause severe, debilitating, incurable and lifelong maladies such as an inflammatory bowel disease, or IBD. This can take the form of Crohn’s (Crohns) disease or ulcerative colitis. It even can lead to colon removal surgery, as well as IBS, or irritable bowel syndrome. Jim S. Adler & Associates has cleared up the link between such galling injuries and the negligent manufacturer whose defective acne drug caused them. The culprit is Accutane and its potent chief ingredient, a Vitamin A booster called Isotretinoin. Together, they’ve caused countless Americans a lifetime of misery and medical bills — all so that manufacturer Roche Pharmaceuticals could reap huge profits. (more…) |

Dangerous acne treatment easily available on Internet
All this, despite a Food and Drug Administration website that warns against buying Accutane over the Internet because of the drug’s 15 serious side effects, including two life-long diseases of the gut with the potential to kill those who develop them after taking it. |

Victims of acne drug Accutane can seek justice via an Accutane lawsuit
It’s Accutane, an acne medication prescribed by doctors and taken orally to eliminate the pimples and blemishes known as acne. Acne often arises on the face, especially for teens, but can afflict anyone. And after Accutane’s introduction in 1982, it was seen as a “miracle drug” cure, with sales to five million Americans. |

James Marshall of ‘Twin Peaks’ is a bowel disease victim fighting an Accutane lawsuit
Then Marshall’s career hit a roadblock: He began suffering serious digestive disorders caused by his using the acne treatment medication Accutane. Like millions of Americans, he’d trusted that Roche Pharmaceuticals provided a safe product. He — and they — were wrong. Roche knew that Accutane caused major health problems, but sold it anyway, to the tune of over $1 billion in annual profits. |

Drug wars? Big pharmaceuticals kill and injure, too, as with Avandia, Paxil, Accutane
Take GlaxoSmithKline, a British pharmaceutical giant whose negligence with deadly drugs seems to know no limits. GSK’s latest revealed outrage concerns diabetes medication Avandia, which carries a high risk of causing heart attacks. According to a recent New York Times investigation, GSK knew of this risk for 11 years yet covered it up, continuing to peddle its defective drug even though people were dying as a result. In short, GSK knew it was killing people and did so anyway, all in the name of money. |

Accutane side effects litany hits prime-time TV in ‘Glee’
Accutane also has been known to cause depression and suicidal impulses in some users, as well as birth defects in the infants of women who were pregnant while using Accutane. The defective drug’s maladies have become so widespread that they were acknowledged recently on hit Fox TV show Glee. In it, the character of high school cheerleader coach Sue Sylvester, played by Jane Lynch, spoke of Accutane causing hearing loss. Hearing loss, in fact, is another Accutane side effect, along with ringing in the ears. With so many Accutane ailments, Americans need a means to redress their Accutane injury or illness. And they have one: an Accutane lawsuit. Such legal action can seek financial compensation from the manufacturers whose negligence harmed innocent Americans. |

A big mystery on American Idol, TV’s top-rated show, was cleared up recently. After finalist Casey Abrams mysteriously missed a results show, it was revealed that he’d been in Los Angeles’ Cedars Sinai Medical Center getting blood transfusions.
When acne drug Accutane reached the market in 1982, many Americans wanted one thing cleared up: their acne. But since using Accutane, many may need another thing cleared up: Why do they now have painful digestive disorders or perhaps even an incurable bowel disease?
A quick google search of the Internet turns up lots of websites selling Accutane in spite of federal warnings about the powerful drug. One site, with the unforgettable web address of “cheap pills,” has a brief two-line description of the acne treatment drug, followed by a lengthy price sheet offering Accutane pills in varying amounts with no reference to the drug’s side effects.
For years, many Americans have suffered serious digestive disorders and not known the cause. Now many do know — and the answer is surprising.
In the early 1990s, actor James Marshall was on top of the world. He’d starred in revolutionary TV series Twin Peaks and also starred in Oscar-nominated military courtroom drama A Few Good Men, alongside top-billed Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson.
The term “drug wars” often refers to violent cartels which bully, bribe and slaughter in the name of illegal drug profits. But another drug war is assailing America, and no machine guns are used. Rather, it’s a war inflicted by huge pharmaceutical companies — often foreign-based — which knowingly sell deadly, defective drugs for years while reaping monstrous profits.
For years, millions of Americans took Accutane as a means to fight severe acne. Though this medication was effective as an acne treatment, it also backfired. Now many Americans face Accutane injuries, including severe gastrointestinal ailments such as UC, or Ulcerative Colitis, and Crohn’s Disease.
