Jim Adler | The Tough, Smart Lawyer

If you’ve had a car wreck or traffic accident, what do attorney fees cost to recover damages? At Jim S. Adler & Associates, they cost nothing unless we win for you, and nothing from your own pocket.

Our law firm works on a contingency fee basis. That means we only get paid if we win. And even then, we’re only paid a portion of the settlement amount we win for you, and we’re paid only from that settlement and not by you directly.

Our law firm doesn’t charge any up-front fees or retainer fees, and we don’t bill our clients based on hours we work. We’re paid based on the results.

We’re paid when you win — and only if you win.

Nor will we ever ask you to write us a check, since our attorney comes from a pre-set portion of the settlement we gain for you, the bulk of which goes to you.

Such settlements often come with no need for a trial. Indeed, the majority of traffic accident cases are settled out of court, via negotiations between a law firm and an insurance company. Or a settlement can come by means of a trial. Either way, we can fight for your legal rights to claim compensation for your car wreck injury losses.

How much can your settlement be?

That depends on the circumstances of your case, including the extent of your injuries and who was at fault in the car crash. For cases involving amputation, paralysis, brain damage, burns or other severe injuries, payments can be substantially higher.

In a trial, payments can involve “compensatory” as well as “punitive” damages.

Compensatory damages are meant to repay or compensate you for actual damages or monetary losses from a traffic accident. That means you’ll be paid for your medical and hospital bills, for your lost present or future salary if your injury prevents you from working, and for your pain and suffering.

By contrast, punitive damages mean a defendant is punished to set an example. Such punitive or exemplary damages can be high, since they aren’t bound by the constraint of actual damages in a compensatory ruling. This way, especially bad drivers can be punished beyond the actual monetary losses.

In either case, attorney fees are limited to a pre-set portion of the settlement and are derived from that settlement. Attorney fees will not be paid out of your own pocket.

Not only that, but when you get started with our law firm, you get a free legal evaluation. This free case review can help you decide how you want to proceed.
