Jim Adler & Associates recently helped local students in need receive a much-needed tool for the classroom.
The law firm’s Houston office worked closely with non-profit organization Comp-U-Dopt, which provides refurbished computers to enthusiastic, motivated children in underserved communities.
Thanks to a monetary donation by the law firm, 15 students were able to take home computers. During the organization’s after-school program, attorney Bill Adler announced the good news.
“This donation by Jim Adler & Associates is essential for our students,” said Thomas Burley, Associate Director for Comp-U-Dopt. “With a computer to call their own, students can work on key skills which will help them succeed in the future.”
The after-school program also teaches students how to use and care for their computers. Students are also introduced to Internet safety guidelines and given a set-up and troubleshooting guide.
