The MLK Parade Foundation presented Houston’s 23rd Annual MLK Grande Parade on Jan. 16. MLK Grande Parade is one of the largest single-day multicultural events in the U.S. commemorating the Martin Luther King Jr. national holiday. It’s the third-largest parade in the country.
Jim Adler employees were in attendance. They walked alongside Houston’s 93.7 The Beat while interacting with spectators along the 1-mile parade route. The parade featured about 20 bands and more than 100 performance groups.
In Dallas, thousands of people gathered to celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This is the 35th year for the official Martin Luther King Day celebration for the City of Dallas. This year’s theme was ‘Breaking the Chains of Injustice.’ Jim Adler’s Dallas employees shared a float with 97.9 The Beat radio personalities. The celebration continued at Fair Park once the parade was over.
