Ray Cantu

Originally from the Piney Woods of East Texas, Ray Cantu is passionate about helping injured clients obtain the settlement they rightfully deserve.

Having started his career in the field of medical social work, Ray says:

“I became a lawyer to have a greater opportunity to help those in need.”

His clients are often injured in motor vehicle accidents, and insurance adjusters use any issue to try to devalue the claims.

“I use my medical background and risk management skills to strengthen my clients’ cases,” says Ray, “Reading a medical record can be tedious, but having an insider’s edge helps since I am familiar with medical coding and documentation.”

An associate attorney in the Houston office of Jim Adler & Associates, Ray moved to Houston to launch his legal career after earning a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University and graduating with honors from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University.

Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, Ray is a member of the State Bar of Texas and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. Ray’s hobbies include reading and collecting vinyl record albums.
